The most important thing about being part of a church family is it gives you the chance to connect with both new people and old friends; the chance to be part of something bigger than yourself… a shared community. I feel a sense of belonging at Bel Air — I never feel by myself, either emotionally or spiritually.  

When I’ve had recent medical challenges, my support group and friends here carried me through a difficult time. These are things difficult to find outside the Body of Christ, outside the church family.  

I’ve also been honored to serve as a Deacon at Bel-Air, and the experience has been simply amazing.‘The hands and feet of Christ,’ the Deacon saying goes. But to me, I’ve received more than I can possibly give to others, in the form of contributing to the Church family and feeling like I’m doing what the Lord wants us to do for each other.  That’s special and unique.
