Bel Air Rebuilds: Celebrating a New Community Corner in Altadena

Bel Air Rebuilds: Celebrating a New Community Corner in Altadena

Last Wednesday, our friends at We Out Here celebrated the grand opening of the Altadena Community Corner, a permanent home for their weekly fresh food distribution and the beloved Juicy Little Society Clubhouse. This welcoming new space will allow neighborhood youth and families affected by the Eaton Fire to continue finding food, essential resources, encouragement, and community each week.

During the celebration, community leader Krystal Lopez and the We Out Here team presented Bel Air Church with a Partnership Award, honoring the volunteers who have consistently supported weekly food pickups, deliveries, distributions, and other needs throughout Altadena’s recovery.

Through Bel Air Rebuilds, we come alongside trusted community leaders like Krystal who know their neighborhoods, understand their needs, and are already doing meaningful work. By offering volunteers, transportation, resources, and consistent support, we help strengthen their vision and expand their impact. It is one way we live as the Church at Work, following Jesus every day, everywhere, with everyone, and sharing His love through practical acts of service.

The fresh food distribution continues every Wednesday at 2540 N. Fair Oaks Ave. in Altadena. Sign up below to serve alongside We Out Here in this exciting new chapter.
