Current Series

“ABRAHAM, JESUS & ME: Choosing to Live Into the Promises of God”

Second Saturdays, February through May, 8:30–10am (PST) Via Zoom

The Men’s Ministry breakfast 2021 Spring Teaching Series is a four-part discussion of the similarities and differences between the Old Testament promises to Abram by God and the New Testament promises to all believers from Jesus Christ. As disciples of Jesus, we all have the opportunity to participate in the Kingdom of God promises from Jesus Christ who describes Himself as “The Life” we have in the Father; or we can experience a much more limited experience in our sin and less-than choices.

We will dig into both testaments of the Bible as we examine the promises of God and Jesus Christ, and how we can choose to participate and live into those promises in our discipleship; and we will spend time in table discussions in each session as we grow together in faith and community.

Normally, we meet for breakfast on the Bel Air Church campus, but for now, we continue to meet on Zoom. All sessions will be led by Men’s Ministry Lead Team member Richard Turner (MDiv).

SATURDAY, APRIL 10:Promises, Promises

SATURDAY, MAY 8:Surrender, Choose or Rebel

“LIFE IN THE FAST LANE: Where Faith Meets Culture”

“I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.  I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one. … As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.” (John 17:14-15, 18, NRSV) As Jesus prayed about believers in the world, our speakers will teach on a specific aspect of living out our faith, knowing it must take place…in the “fast lane” of the world.
