Outreach

Our Outreach Strategy: Missional Engagement

Our commitment is to bring you opportunities, in both physical and digital environments, to missionally engage in what God is doing in our city and around the world – every day, everywhere, and with everyone.

MONDAY NIGHT MISSION FORUM

Monday Night Mission brings you into conversation with our Mission Partners around the world. What are their greatest challenges and how does Christ sustain them in their mission?

Monday, February 1, at 7pm (PST) via ZOOM

MONDAY NIGHT MISSION FORUM

A Conversation with Congo

In our first Monday Night Mission, join us for a deep dive into the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Pastor James Byensi, in conversation with members of Bel Air Church, will share how, though surrounded by, guerrilla warfare, staggering violence, and millions of displaced refugees in the DRC, the Gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be silenced. “By His powerful word, Christ sustains all things.” Hebrews 1:3

Be sure to register today by clicking the orange button.

Lastly, we invite you to send questions for Pastor James, which will be addressed during “Monday Night Mission,” to outreach@belairpres.org no later than January 30.

LOS ANGELES MISSION

The Los Angeles Mission and Anne Douglas Center exist provide hope, help, and opportunity to men, women, and children in need. Their emergency services include shelter, clean clothes, showers, and hot meals. Further, the mission offers programs that foster transformation through spiritual growth, life skills, career development, mentors, housing, and community.

HOW CAN YOU HELP:

DONATE New toiletries/hygiene products and gently-used clothing and blankets.

CREATE “Love Your Neighbor” care packages. These Ziploc bags are great to keep in your car and safely hand to someone as you are at a stoplight, leaving the grocery, etc. Suggested Items: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, granola bar, a bottle of water, socks, etc.

FOSTERALL

FosterAll guides parents through successful foster/adopt journeys and creates a community of support for children and families.

HOW CAN YOU HELP:
VOLUNTEER at a group home on a quarterly, monthly, or weekly basis (e.g. tutor, mentor, teach/play a skill or sport, host a craft activity, help with Christmas Party). Opportunities are open for individuals or small groups, in-person or virtually!

DONATE GIFT CARDS for new foster families and youth living in group homes (e.g. restaurants, Postmates, Target, Amazon). These are incredible provisions to families as they juggle new dynamics in the house, and blessings to youth as they can feel discouraged and forgotten on special occasions like birthdays and Christmas. Email electronic gift cards to outreach@belairpres.org or mail to Bel Air Church: 16221 Mulholland Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90049.

BECOME A LICENSED FOSTER/ADOPT FAMILY and open your arms to one of 35,000+ kids waiting in foster care throughout Los Angeles County, alone! Connect for a call to learn more or attend an orientation.
